Collaborative Engineering: a viewpoint from ubiquitous computing
Engineering and scientific communities are rapidly moving to a collaborative direction as this borderless globalization continues. In this presentation, we will verify how various technologies are indeed making collaborative engineering environments into reality by focusing on the following agenda:
- Importance of Grid, middleware and portal technologies in a distributed heterogeneous HPC environment.
- Workflow and workload management in a globalised heterogeneous ubiquitous compute environment.
- Collaborative visualization for engineering compute environments.
- Challenges and future research issues to be addressed.
